Zodiak Entertainment Distribution is proud to announce new sales of Gormiti, The Lords of Nature Return, including deals signed with GMTV 2 (UK), SIC (Portugal) and TV Globo (Brazil).

Produced by Marathon Media and Giochi Preziosi for M6 and Canal J in France and Mediaset in Italy where it has been a smash hit since 2008, Gormiti, the Lords of Nature Return, has become a massive success attracting consistently high ratings for each of its international broadcasters since the Fall of 2009: France (M6 and Canal J), the USA (Cartoon Network), Spain (Cartoon Network and RTVE), Germany (RTL II) and the United Kingdom (Nickelodeon).

These latest TV sales of seasons one and two follow those already completed in Greece (Alter Channel), the Middle East (MBC), Israel (Noga), Turkey (Digi Turk), ex-Yugoslavia (One2Play) and several northern and Eastern European countries (Viasat).
Negotiations are also underway with broadcasters in Mexico, Morocco, Poland and the Netherlands.
Meanwhile, the video rights have been transferred in Spain (Manga Films), Greece (Alter Channel), the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Ritka Video), Bulgaria (Pro Filmo), and to all the republics of ex-Yugoslavia (One2Play). The In-flight rights have been purchased by IFE Services in France and Spafax Airline Network in the Middle East.

Emmanuelle Bouilhaguet, Scripted Sales Director, Zodiak Entertainment said of the sales ”Gormiti is a star in our animation portfolio. The brand’s strength in the international market place is evident from its outstanding consumer products sales record. These new TV sales demonstrate another step towards further exploiting Gormiti’s huge potential.”

Adapted from the famous Italian toy brand created and developed by Giochi Preziosi, the show is a perfect blend of magic, epic legend and comedy. With sales of more than 200 million units, Gormiti is now the best selling toy action figure in Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal and France (source: NPD Dec. 2009) as well as one of the top sellers in UK, Greece and in most European countries and continues to enjoy spectacular growth rates.

International TV & Video sales are managed by Zodiak Entertainment Distribution. Giochi Preziosi  is in charge of international merchandising and licensing, in coordination with Marathon Media, responsible for the brand’s merchandising and licensing in France
